A little bit about Pepinos Indiana
Competition in the restaurant business is tough, yet after over 35 years of Joe “Pepe” Daniele owning Pepino’s Italian Restaurant, the business is stronger than ever. The secret- GREAT HOMEMADE FOOD at reasonable prices.
Pepino’s started in 1986 in Calumet City, Illinois, just a year after Pepe graduated from Northern Illinois University. The space on Sibly Blvd. was quickly converted from a Polish Sausage factory into what would become the city’s best restaurant, “Pepino’s Italian Restaurant”. After 20 years of serving the community of Calumet City and the surrounding area Pepino’s moved to Schereville, Indiana.
Still serving the same great 100% homemade, preservative free food, Pepino’s has pivoted from a 70% take out business in Calumet City to 70% dine-in at the Schereville location. The quality has not been comprised in the least.
Pepino’s employs almost 25 people, some have been A part of the company for over a decade. The employees are a mix of high-level chefs and highly experienced cooks. Each meal at Pepino’s is made 100% from scratch and is prepared when ordered. Nothing at Pepino’s is pre-made.
Pepino’s menu consists of homemade beef, sausage, pizza, pasta, salads and other Italian entrees.
